I can’t even speak right now. What an embarrasing loss. It’s just amazing how injuries can take such a toll on your team. We could handle a few injuries, but the one to Dixon proved to be too much. Congrats to our DEFENSE. They played amazing. Howerver, I’m afraid we don’t have enough offense to beat the Beavers next weekend.

It’s very apparent that the Spread offense is great if you have the QB to run it. When we don’t even have a capable backup, that’s pathetic. Let’s hit the recruiting trail and get 2 or 3 capable QBs!

I think Kempt & Roper did as expected for Freshman. You cannot put this game on them. Leaf was a disappointment as I believe he was to himself. Very ill prepared.

Injuries have killed this season. Let’s look forward to next year & how incredible this team will be!

Fire Bellotti!! Great job for the Defense they played really well. I don’t know how Bellotti and Kelly can say that Leaf can run the spread offense as well as Dixon. Leaf played like a Frosh. This loss was horrible its going to be worse when the Ducks lose to the Beavers at Home if Bellotti still believes Leaf can run this offense.

About as I expected. Absolutely no chance. The offensive scheme is way too simple which any defense can shutdown. No run option or reverse. Kudos to the ducks defense. The only time I actually got excited was when we got to punt and watch our D play. They were blowing people up in the secondary and shutting down the run. Unfortunately, that’s not what wins Oregon ball games. Its the O which is dead done. If stewart is hurt I wouldn’t even bother putting him in because when they send everyone to stop the run, its impossible to get anywhere. You can pretty much bet on a blow out at Autzen for the Civil War. Even if we pick the ball 5 times, we cannot do more then 3 and out. Unfortunate, but true.

Wow, that was horrible. As other’s have said, way to go defense. They were the only guys worth watching today. How about a blocker for stewart? 3rd and 10+ and handing off up the middle? Great call.

This lose is not on Bellotti. You give any any coach in the country the same scenerio - multiple starters lost for season, including the eventual heisman winner - and they wouldn’t do much better.

Where they may be to blame is by saying that Leaf is a good spread-option QB. Are you kidding me? I couldn’t tell the difference between him and the 2 freshman.

Should we give this game an “A” evidence tag on the players side in the System vs. Players case?

I don’t want to see another pass thrown Jaison Williams way again.

Lets get real for a second - sure our hopes were high and it was fun while it lasted, but what we witnessed was the greatness of Dixon while he was healthy and just how fine the line is between winning and losing at that level. Sure we are all disappointed, but are our lives all that different whether or not the Ducks win or lose? Lets keep this in perspective - its a game for our enjoyment and that’s all it is. Kudos today for everyone who looked like they were trying as hard as they could to pull this off.

    Berry,

Agree having Dixon play at the level he did was great. So great in fact it made us a contender for the NC. Without him however we are 9th in the PAC-10, just better then Stanford.

And kharry, I second that. Its too bad, JWill could have been NFL material. I think its a good thing starting him because he will draw coverage, but the downside of throwing to him ( drops drops drops ) far outweighs any upside ( yards after catch, occasional 100 yd game).

I’m not selling my ticket. I’ll sit through next
Saturdays game. I won’t boo or anything stupid like that. But you can bet I’ll be subdued and shaking my head.

    Pape’ Jam - December 8th!
    We just need to re-focus.

JWill was horrible. Kempt comes in and gives him pass after pass to catch and he drops them all. Sometimes its as if he is running routes and forgets to use his arms and hands when the ball comes. He even had the balls to look back at Kempt after a pass hit him in the chest and demand that the pass was a little higher. What an ass! If anything he should have been trying to help the high schooler in is first big game appearance.

I just can’t get over the fact that we went from the one of the top ranked offenses to this in only a few weeks. Dixon does deserve Heisman. Is there any other player in the running that could go down and his team absolutely fall apart? He covered up so many shortcomings. He made the O-line look better, he made our rush offense look better, he opened up the game for JStew, and he dimed our WR all year with beautiful passes.

    FRUSTRATED FAN!

To those of you that have already sold your tickets to Beavers fans on Craigslist and won’t go to the game next week to honor the seniors and support you team then you belong with the ‘South Side Greenbacks’ who can’t make it back to their seats for the second half. Fauxfans. And there are lots and lots of those born on third base posers out there. Sucks immensely that we are imploding and I don’t relish the fact that I’ll probably have to watch another car wreck of a game but you hang with your boys through thick and thin. Oh yeah, and be thankful you got to watch some pretty sublime football in Autzen this year. Most fan’s don’t get to even come close to what we’ve got.
