This absolutely insane….any talk of not accepting a bowl invitation is completely ignorant. First of all, we don’t have that option and second of all WHY? People who have not followed this program longer than the last 13 years have no clue what this program has gone through to get to this point. Remember, bowl season is like have a second spring drills with a reward at the end, an actual game. I understand having points of discussion, but there should only be one this week. BEAT OSU!!!!

I must agree with Rick. Oregon has never been associated with winning when it comes to football. Before 1994 Oregon was a scoop of potato salad shy of a family reunion picnic. Since?….. A winning season has apparently become commonplace. 9-10 wins is not setting goals high enough. The pain that is heard in most posts is the dream that should have been. Only to lose 1 Running Back, 3 DB’s, 1st string, 2nd string, 3rd string Quarterbacks, and at least 2 huge play maker receivers. Couple this with a host of others that have missed insurmountable time due to various reasons you have got a team that was as close to a walking corpse for 1st stringers as I have ever seen. How good was Dixon? After all those injuries, and nearly all were before him, Oregon was DOMINATING on offense. Do we deserve a bowl invitation? You bet Oregon does! The only time I would feel the team was undeserving, would be for no heart and bad attitude…. IMO one in the same. Reality is that our season, as every season, is for the Rose Bowl first which means Pac-10 champions and then NC. I personally feel that NC comes first. After all they are nearly one in the same. Play in NC and you most likely won the PAC. That said, we didn’t do either, we should treat the Civil war and the bowl game as the start of a 15 game season the PAC and/or NC. I’m not saying we make it, just treat it as such. Getting experience for QB’s, WR’s and the like. Then nail it when it really counts come next year. Let’s see some improved success with this wonderful offense. I think that we are beginning to see something beautiful and we should soak it up for as long as it stays…….Funduck

What? Who actually thinks that we should decline a bowl bid? I can’t fathom the idea that we would be offered a bowl and decline to show up. Isn’t this division 1 football? I bet that the people who are in favor of this idea are the same ones who decided to outlaw dodge ball, or don’t want to keep score during youth competitions so nobody’s feelings get hurt.

Stupid, he’s a kid that can’t quit talking. He also can’t stop interrupting people with opposing views.
