Okay, so there’s no playoff, we know that. But what if there was? At One Click Sports News, we’d like to find out how it would play out. To see who really might be the best team in the land.
Beginning now, and playing itself out over the next week, we’ve set up a virtual 16-team bracket taken from “The Sports Idol” Justin Meyers . Each day there will be a set of games to vote on. Winners advance, until we have a “virtual” college football champion.

as much as I love the New Years Day Bowl games and the tradition, this would settle the argument for who is truly the National Champion. I would tweak it though. I would add a sub-round make 8 addition teams play-in to get to the first round, allowing 24 total teams making the playoffs. The top 8 seeds, you conference champions, would get a bye to the first round. Or just make it 3 rounds with a semi and final.
