Most people believe Jonathan Stewart will leave the University of Oregon after this, his junior season, for a professional career.
Saturday after the game, Rob Moseley asked him if that was his last game at Autzen. He replied: “No, what kind of question is that? I’m a junior.”
What do you think? Was that Stewart’s last game at Autzen?

As much as i’d like to see him stick around, I doubt it. The guy’s off the charts and a sure first rounder. I can’t see him staying.

I agree, he’s a man-child and I think he’s 80% gone. But if there’s anyone who would stick around, it would be Stewart. He’s got a bit of unfinished business here at Oregon. He has the chance to be the best ever at UO, along with being a front-runner for the Heisman next year.
I sure hope he stays so we could see all that happen.

i think he stays. it seems like he does not have a professional football players attitude at this point - he seems happy just hanging out and working hard in the great environment that is college. i think he is wise beyond his years knowning that you’ll never get college back once you give it up - as we all found out so harshly ;D

the guy hasn’t accomplished anything, he still needs to beat Haloti’s weightlifting records.

He seems a little scared deep down to go for it. I think he should as he really has more to lose than gain. “Don’t be silly stupid, TAKE THE MONEY!”

Had the Ducks stayed healthy and gone on to win the Pac-10 and the National Championship (which I’m convinced they would have), he might have left because there would have been nothing left to do here.
However, there’s unfinished business here. Dixon was an amazing player, but there will still be a surplus of talent on next year’s team.
Let Roper and Costa compete for the starting job during fall camp, get the young guys up to speed, get everybody healthy, and the Ducks will once again have a shot at the Pac-10 Championship (at least).
Stewart could be a key part of all that, or he could go ride the bench on some east coast NFL team that won’t even make the playoffs.
I bet he stays.

JStew is not tough enough, hasn’t proven himself NFL worthy on the play with pain scale. On the other hand if the $$$ is there he needs to take it and run.

Stewart goes for 160 on 39 carries against Oregon State’s top ranked rushing D that was waiting with 7-8 in the box, with turf toe, and he’s not tough enough?
What in particular are you referring to?

I have a feeling he stays. We’ll see.

i hope he doesn’t leave early. yes, of course, there’s the ever present danger of more injuries and the possibility of never making it to the nfl with it’s big pay day. hopefully, whatever he decides to do, it will be a family decision and his father wants him to graduate.
