JJ, here.
Wow. I don’t know where to start with this one.
Let’s start at the very beginning…A very good place to start…When you read the Seattle Times, you begin with…W.
Well, the news in the Seattle Times has not exactly been the sweet sound of music to many Husky fans’ ears. If you’re not familiar [...]

JJ, here.
While Josh is on his way to the Super Bowl, he wanted me to post this in response to some of the comments that were made to an earlier post (Josh Wilcox: ‘08, Recruiting, JStew & The Pit Crew).
Before I do, I want to thank Josh for being a part of Duck Sports News. [...]

January 29th, 2008 · 6 Comments
Five-star Running back Enrique Davis visited Eugene last weekend and seemed to enjoy the stay.
If you were at the USC-Oregon game at Mac Court on Saturday, you may have seen Davis (as well as his teammate, Andrew Harris) in section 14.
According to Mike Farrell of Rivals.com, Davis liked what he saw from Oregon. He was [...]

Mockery Drafts Are The Sincerest Form Of Love
January 29th, 2008 · 3 Comments
JJ, here.
Anyone heard of NBADraft.net? Up until a few minutes ago, neither had I. So, just as a quick disclaimer, I have no idea what kind of credibility this site has (and I’m not really a NBA fan, either). However, on a bit of a snow slow day, what this site has [...]

The Pit Crew was pretty rough on Kevin Love. What kind of treatment of athletes by fans do you think is acceptable and unacceptable? (Ross - Eugene)
I’m fairly liberal with what should be allowed by fans in College Basketball. It’s the enthusiasm of college students that helps make the game [...]

I was going to write a wrap of the season, but why look back? Let’s look forward.
2008
We have plenty of good players coming back, and we have good coaches. [...]

Honestly, I don’t know why I’m even writing this.
Actually, I do know why I’m writing this: something just came across our virtual desk that is so ridiculous, it’s kind of funny. And sad.
In the film industry, there’s a saying that once a genre is parodied, it’s dead. For example, it’s been argued [...]

JJ, here.
I just want to let you know that I’m not going to moralize right now, even though I think there are plenty of reasons to do so. Instead, I just want to ask some simple questions about the actions of the fans (specifically, the student section, “The Pit Crew”) at the UCLA-Oregon game [...]

Pit Crew: Tonight, There Will Be Signs
January 24th, 2008 · 5 Comments
JJ, here.
The Pit Crew has been kind of enough to send Duck Sports News a preview of one of the signs that will be featured at tonight’s UCLA-UO game. And I want to thank Max and the Pit Crew for sending us one of their more tame signs (that’s assuming you consider “hate” to be [...]
