JJ, here.
Honestly, I don’t know why I’m even writing this.
Actually, I do know why I’m writing this: something just came across our virtual desk that is so ridiculous, it’s kind of funny. And sad.
In the film industry, there’s a saying that once a genre is parodied, it’s dead. For example, it’s been argued that the late Spaghetti Westerns (”My Name Is Nobody”) and “Blazing Saddles” killed the Western genre. Well, maybe not killed. But they sure winged it pretty good.

“How ’bout some more Terrelle Pryor news, Mr. Taggart?” “I’d say you had enough!”
Keeping that in mind, I think reporting on the recruiting of Terrelle Pryor is now officially dead. And you don’t have to look any further than the report coming from Lightning Strikes that Terrelle Pryor has made his decision and will play quarterback for Slippery Rock University (wink, wink, nudge, nudge).
And if I do say so myself, he has chosen a fine academic intstitution.
[Editor's note: Do I really have to state that's not true?]
As Rob Moseley notes in his blog today, chasing down the Pryor story is now a fool’s game. At this point, the recruiting of Terrelle Pryor is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.
Here at Duck Sports News, unless something definitive happens that relates to University of Oregon athletics, we’re not going to link to anymore stories about Terrelle Pryor.
Anything else is a bit of joke…on us…and you. And it’s not fun, or funny, anymore.

Thank you. I’m absolutely sick of hearing and reading about this guy. If he comes here great. If not its not the end of the world.

I’m just excited to get next season rolling! DT, Harper, Roper, Costa and Page in the house!

I’m not sure we should be interested in someone who feels compelled to issue a press release every time he breaks wind.

I agree JJ. The good news of the “will he or won’t he” keeps Oregon above the paper fold. I am pleased with the effort by Chip Kelly and the staff. Recruiting services already suck my life out of my body as I check for updates through the evening, but Christmas in February will be here soon. Bring on LOI day.

Paddy,
Name me one time that Pryor has issued a press release.
Oh, you mean the online diary that the Post-Gazette asked him to write?
Other than that?
Idiots. Idiots. You all are idiots.

Joe -
RW had posted that story before I wrote the post. And Rob’s post kind of gave me motivation to write this post to begin with.
But I understand the question. You’re not going to see anything else about TP unless it’s official. No more links to speculative articles.
