This is an average of 71 computer rankings, which is, in my opinion, the very best way to use computers. Each formula has a different emphasis, and one can quibble with each. But the average of all of them best captures the entire amount of information. (And apparently the computers are smarter than coaches and journalists in seeing Oregon’s impressive performance across the entire year…)

They are constantly updating there as new computer rankings show up on the web — one other laudible aspect of that site.

One major flaw is that some of these computer rankings have obviously not been updated to reflect the bowl games.
