Quick Hits: Three Things I Loved

February 2nd, 2008

Three quick things I loved about today’s Civil War:

1. Porter has his Mojo back. 8-13 from the field (62%) and 5-8 from three-land (63%). 23 points.

2. The Ducks finally put a game away, outscoring the Beavers 22-7 in the final 8:16 of the game.

3. I loved the Pit Crew’s chant near the end of the game: “We Are Class-y”

Classic.

Alright, off to enjoy the evening.

For sure. Great to have TP back in the fold. Amazing what actually taking good shots (and not forcing it) does for him. Hopefully he can take that confidence into the second half of pac-10 play. We’re going to need it!

I was at the game today and I’m a beaver. I felt like the Pit Crew was back to their old antics. I’d say more like ‘class-less.’ The one chant about our cheerleaders was classless and tacky. Nothing they do is original. By far, the worst student section in the pac-10.

    Ah! Poor little beaver!

Now, I wasn’t at the game but I would guess that whatever the Pit Crew said about the barkmuncher cheerleaders was probably a bit unkind… but probably also true.

    Bummer Beavs.

    Hey beaver fan…
SO, don’t they have a “Beav Sports News” site? Why do you feel the need to check out the Duck stuff? Personally I never really have a reason to look at your “Beav” sight. Great job defending your cheerleaders. You “Beavs” have a new top sport to support. For most Div1 schools its Baseball, Basketball, and Football. For the “Beavs” its Cheerleading, Baseball, and god knows what else.

Um, do the beavers even have a student section? I’ve seen a few parts of their home games and NOBODY is there! The place is empty!!!

So wouldn’t the OSewe student section be the worst in the Pac 10?

    Nice try though…

I heard a few months ago that in response to Oregon bringing back baseball, the Beavers have decided to bring back division 1 basketball.

Ok, I know we’ve heard it, but LOL anyway!

I’m a duck fan and the Pit crew is embarrassing. Nothing but a bunch of guys (and a few homely girls) that have never kissed a girl. Poor dumb bastards. Leave it to a bunch of jock sniffers to continue the humiliation of our fine university.

    Marko….

REMEMBER, we’re talking about kids. 18 to 21, 22 year olds.

I bet you did some pretty stupid things at that age as well. I know I did. I’m not condoning what they did, but we have all been there.

Relax. The Stanford student section or the Tree Mascot will do something stupid real soon and we can forget about it…

    Re: Duck cheerleaders -

They have received a TON of accolades outside the friendly confines of MacArthur Court and those critics usually arrive at a conclusion of “WOW!”
