If you live in Klamath Falls or Medford you should be able to get the WSU Oregon game on channel 48 KFBI , MY48 over the air or Channel 48 on Directv on tape delay at 10:00 pm Saturday

I’d give up “8,000 residents in Medford for 50,000 in Seattle.I thought Joe G.hated Washington. I guess when it comes to the almighty dollar people can change!!!I am sick and tired of hearing how hard OSN is working on this coverage deal when they turn around and make US the ones outside the coverage area do all the work of calling writing letters to cable and satellite providers and tell them that they now need to give a rats ass about Oregon sports! So now the ones left out in the cold have to listen to the radio broadcast via O-zone which would normally be fine with Jerry Allen, but he is just as excited about the new programming on Comcast.I don’t know how many times he mentioned the new look of the coaches show!!!But were left out!!BS

I just received an Email from Directv and they said and I quote “Thanks for taking the time to write us. As you know, we don’t carry Comcast Sports Northwest right now and we don’t currently have plans to add it to our lineup.

However, I see that your request had already been forwarded to DIRECTV Management, so I didn’t take any further action.

In addition, whenever we add channels to our lineup, we release a statement to the press, so keep an eye on the news to find out about the newest channels or visit our website at directv.com/pr.

Let’s recap what has happened in the past few weeks:

- Oregon signs deal with IMG to get millions of dollars towards new stadium/arena, etc.

- IMG turns around and tells a loyal and local television group to the university to basically “pound salt” because the big bad Comcast is going to give them TONS of money

- IMG and Oregon sign the deal and now cry about how big bad Comcast doesn’t have the rights to broadcast the games whenever they want, wherever they want, etc.

This whole saga has been caused by Joe Giansante who for some reason thinks that he has the right to pop off with quotes like:

I’d give up “8,000 residents in Medford for 50,000 in Seattle.”

And now this “local” network that you have agreed to put your broadcasts on for the next five years has decided to not be so “local” and expand into Seattle, and across the Northwest. It is like FSN all over again…and how happy will you be when not only can you not get a game on ESPN Gameplan, but instead of getting a Ducks game on TV, you end up with a Eastern Washington or a Tacoma Rainiers game on instead.

THIS is what you are in for as this growing network scrambles to find a way to not be so “local.”

Can the University of Oregon petition the Pac-10 to allow ESPN GamePlan to show the game?

I could see a compromise where the game time would be moved so that it doesn’t conflict with the BYU vs. Washington telecast and ESPN pays Fox Sports for the rights to show the game.

Bottom line, the Pac-10 TV deal sucks and hopefully the new commish. can do something about it.

This media thing is out of hand. The blame is put on the other media outlets for not accepting OSN with open arms but there is a lot of information about unreasonable fees demanded by OSN for broadcast rights. FSN who is owned by the same company than owns Comcast blocks Oregon from ESPN game plan. This is the first time I have not been able to watch the Coach on Sunday since the program started. We do not have Comcast where I live.

The only folks that come up short in all this is the common average fan.

It truely sucks and all we get is spin!

Please tell me how I am supposed to watch the Ducks play now? What gives FSN the right to block games televised on ESPN? What genius at the Pac-10 media divison okayed such a worthless rule allowing a network that is NOT even showing this weeks game to come in and shoot down the opportunity for others to broadcast it. If FSN really cares that much then they need to carry ALL Duck games. If not, then they should stop screwing it up for everyone else.
