KLSR, KEVU broadcast home of the Oregon Ducks for 2009

April 15th, 2009

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

KLSR and KEVU are your Broadcast Home of the Oregon Ducks for 2009

Eugene, Oregon, April 15, 2009 — Local Eugene television stations KEVU-TV/MyNetworkTV and KLSR-TV/FOX will be carrying five men’s baseball, up to three football and four men’s basketball games during the 2009-2010 season.

“The Ducks are in their freshman year of an exciting baseball program with a new field and huge fan base already. Football is looking forward to another successful era with new Head Coach Chip Kelly at the helm and Coach Bellotti as interim quarterback coach/future Athletic Director. Ernie Kent will have at least another year to get his basketball program back to the greatness he once championed. Why wouldn’t we want to be a part of that”, exclaimed Mark Metzger, GM of the local FOX and KEVU stations.

Baseball games will include April 25 & 26 versus Washington, May 3 with UCLA and May 23 & 24 versus Arizona. The football and basketball games are TBA.

KLSR-TV and KEVU-TV are part of California Oregon Broadcasting, Inc. (COBi), a local Oregon company owned by Patricia Smullin. COBi also owns KOBI-TV/NBC Medford, KOTI-TV/NBC Medford, Pilot Rock Productions Medford and Crestview Cable, Crestview, Oregon

Does this mean coaches’ shows and rebroadcasts also? What’s going on with Comcast sports?

Great, more poor HD that isn’t even the right aspect ratio. I Have season tix for football, but am not looking forward to HD that doesn’t fit a wide screen for road games. Not good news.

    NO MORE JOE GIANSAUSAGE PLEASE

Yes Joe G. is assoc A.D.Now can we please Hire a new better announcing Team. With Joe’s Overbearing pro-Duck Opinion it is like having two color men (anthony newman’s joe’s Yes man) describing the game with Duck colored glasses. I turn down volume and would rather hear Jerry allen’s radio call

This IS great news. This means I can tell Comcast to go to hell after they are dropping the NFL network. The Duck games being on Comcast Sportsnet was the only thing that would keep me from dumping them completely.
